These exceptional quality violins, violas, and cellos are made in the workshop of two-time Violin Society of America Gold Medal Winner, Mingjiang Zhu. Hand-crafted with deeply flamed maple and well-seasoned spruce, these instruments are light in weight and very easy to play. The instruments have powerful and complex sounds and feature an antiqued golden-brown varnish. Playing and sounding like American or European instruments at 3 or 4 times the price, MingJiang Zhu instruments represent the absolute best in Chinese violin making.
The skillful workmanship and tasteful antiquing of the Stradivari model bring carefully seasoned tonewoods to life for a dynamic sound with fullness and depth. The Stradivari pattern imparts a brighter voice, with extra shimmer in the upper registers.
