Description
Made in Germany ca. 1933 and sold by N. Shure Co. out of Chicago. This violin likely stayed in Chicago until it came to Little Rock and was sold to us.
From the original 1933 listing:
"Antonio Saleri Violin, Stradivarius copy. A broad, large model with brilliant tone. The back is very fine old maple, handsomely flamed; sides and scroll to match. Finished in the superb Saleri oil varnish, shading to amber in color. Slightly retouched. Finest ebony trimmed."
