Violin labeled A.E Arvidson, 1924. Swedish immigrant Arthur E. Arvidson lived and worked in Ashtabula, Ohio. A carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, Mr. Arvidson eventually found his way to violin making and repair, reportedly making over 100 violins. This violin is in fine condition and has a lovely honey colored varnish. It has a stunning one-piece quilted maple back and ribs made from matching wood.
