Semmlinger cellos have earned a global reputation for fine quality workmanship and tone. Located in Baiersdorf, Germany, Lothar Semmlinger founded his workshop in 1980, and his sons Stefan (also a geigenbaumeister) and Christian joined him 2001 and 2005 respectively. They work together to create professional level instruments using well-seasoned tonewood, a beautiful golden-brown spirit varnish, and an uncompromising dedication to their craft in every detail.
