Description

Violin bow branded F.N. VOIRIN A PARIS, likely made by German bow maker, Hermann Richard Pfretzschner. One of the all time greatest German bow makers, H.R. Pfretzschner worked in the Paris workshop of Jean Baptiste Vuillaume in 1874. During that period he was influenced by the great French bow makers of the time, most notably Voirin, whose work Pfretzschner copied almost exclusively in the 1880's and 1890's. This bow comes from that period and has a beautiful round pernambuco stick and a Vuillaume style silver mounted frog. 60.2 grams.
