Gustav August Ficker violin made in 1959 in Mittenwald, Germany. Originally sold by William Lewis and Son as part of the Ficker Mastercraft Violin Reproductions line, this "Spohr" Model 185 is an "artistic reproduction of a fine Nicolaus Gagliano - rare, old, beautifully figured wood - soft, rich textured red-brown varnish - slightly imitated - finest tonal quality." Produces a clear and brilliant sound and is in excellent condition.
